Gran Turismo = Blech!
It is my personal belief that games should be fun. Gran Turismo is anti fun. Now, I won’t dispute the quality of this piece of software, I mean it would deserve perfect scores all the way, but it fails terribly as a game. What constitutes it as a game is that you and a friend can race and there would be a winner and all is well, but as far as playing on your own, the simulation part of the “game” is horrendous. There were so many things in screen when I wanted to check the specs to buy a car, it was as if someone put all the text in the phonebook on to the screen at once. Gran Turismo, I gave you a chance, since the very first edition came out on the PS1. I remember getting the game and wanting to cry at the thought of getting a license, then one day a comrade of mine asks to borrow the game and never returns it, claiming that the “maid burnt it.” Part of me was flabbergasted, while the other part was somewhat relieved that I would never have to play you again GT. True story.
Now, can someone tell me why you would want to play GT instead of a masterpiece that is Burnout 3? In all honesty, in terms of realism, Burnout 3 surpasses GT, or may as well be considered its equal. Wait, before you go all “OMG!!1!” on my inbox, let me explain, the thing about Burnout 3 is that the cars disintegrate, that alone makes it a lot more realistic that GT. However, a lot of things are holding it back, for one thing, lack of licensed cars, apparently car manufacturers are all up in arms about seeing their cars destroyed in a video game, though they seem perfectly content with it happening in real life. As far as the boost feature in Burnout 3, that adds to realism because really do use NOS, or “Nitrous Oxide” for “teh n00bs.”
For me to like Gran Turismo, I think the game needs to take a page out of the book of Burnout 3, wait, scratch that, I think it needs to make a photocopy of the whole book or even potentially get the paperback edition. What Gran Turismo needs is destructible cars a la Burnout 3, not even that of Project Gotham Racing as well as catering for the casual non whip set gamers out there. The game is already a best seller, imagine if it took normal people into consideration, then we’d have something there. Are you listening Polyphony?

All the latest.
Well it’s been a while hasn’t it. I’m alive and well, so sorry to disappoint. These past few days have been horrible what with the hurricane and all. In case you STILL don’t know, I live in the Caribbean and while we weren’t faced with the full brunt of the hurricane, it makes me wonder about those who were. There was a ton of water, places that you wouldn’t expect to flood out did, case in point; the mall. Yes the mall was under quit a bit of rain and all the businesses on the ground floor felt the pinch. We have a store in the mall and gasp, on the ground floor even! My dad took some video footage that ended up being on the news, so that was kind of cool. So yeah we felt the pinch, and let me tell you, Elaine pinches hard.
I have been twiddling with the podcast thing for some time now, I’ve had something completed, ready for upload, the fruit of all my labour, after getting a sore throat and all, then I find out you can’t hear me well enough and that it isn’t “easy on the ears.” Either way, this week you will be hearing from at least one of my Podcasts. Yeah, I’ll be having more than one, don’t know know? So look out. I know there is enough room for more than one Caribbean Podcaster.
Another reason I’ve been busy is because I’ve been drafted so to speak to (co) host a “new science show where young people just like you show off their talents in science and mathematics”. I know, my enthusiasm pool needs to be refilled now. Hey, it’s something, not so? I’ve been doing a lot of writing and practicing for this and that has eaten up a lot of my time. I think there are some problems though as I was supposed to be in for filming since last Wednesday and today is Sunday. I’ll have to call Tomorrow and see what’s going on because I’m going to England next month. Also, I’ll be doing some work for another television show to be, hopefully. This one would more be up my alley as it would be about computers and science. I’ll be prepping for that show as well so I’m going to be doing some writing in terms of a segment. I’m trying not to get my hopes up for either of these shows considering I have yet to actually film anything. I could potentially be on television, and not as in some cooky guy who is interviewed on the news, no, I’d actually be hosting a show, possibly two if the second show takes up off the ground and then gets some funding, or I could potentially get nothing whatsoever. Wow, this is such a great business.
I’ll be here.

Our Media - (TEST)
Something worth reading...
Now, i've also received e-mail from a ton of readers that are oh so willing to help me out. To that effect thank you much. To moolcool, yes, i realised that i spelt my email address wrong, it is actually samureye@gmail.com, so if anyone had sent email that was intended to me to anything other than that address, i suggest you resend it.
To Caleb, povided i do get DSL in the near future, i will be sure to do detailed articles on doing a Podcast as well as doing the feed. You see, i know how it feels to not have the slightest clue about something. While i know i'm not computer illiterate and by no means the most tech savvy person around, but when i learn about something and understand it, i can more than pass on that knowledge to other persons who just want to be in the know about different things. I like relaying things in a way where even the most senile of readers can comprehend what something is, yet more advanced users can read for the edification. Now, i intend to do more program reviews and tutorials for blogger as well as the random rap which really makes you come for more. I had an article i did but it isn't with me now, but i want people to read my bashing of Gran Turismo. Anyways, hopefully i will see you soon again, so keep sending those emails and look out for the Podcast(S?) soon. :)

Status report....
I've also had an idea for a website, not a blog. I won't say what the site would be about but i am working on some scripts for it. More on that whenever something of worth surfaces.
I've been told that i'm going to England.
Also, i'm working on more articles, i'll be bashing Gran Turismo and talking about games i've been playing and probably working on a second podcast even before the first one goes out.
More soon.
